I grew up loving water and sun. Maybe that is partly due to the fact that water skiing, swimming and kayaking are important summer activities in my family and maybe it just has to do with the fact that most everybody I know loves sunshine. In fact, as humans we need it. We aren’t as dependent on the sun as plants, but without enough exposure to the sun we wouldn’t get enough vitamin D in our systems.
If you don’t believe me just think about how you feel during the winter when Christmas has passed and it is cold and dark outside. Something inside of each of us just longs for spring to bloom and bring warmer weather.
Even though wishing for summer doesn’t make it come any faster, there is a way to escape the cold and dark of winter and stock up on your vitamin D. I solution that I would recommend is to take a Baja kayaking trip. In Baja, Mexico you can always wear your warm-weather clothes and spend some time in the sun. Bring some protective lotion, by all means, but then spend your time gliding through tropical waters admiring the scenery and the wildlife around you.
In addition to the fun, warmth and beauty, Baja Kayaking trips will also provide an ample amount of exercise - and that is good for you too. Whether you can escape for two weeks, one week or just a couple of days, there is a fun Baja kayaking trip waiting for you and it won’t take too long to get there by plane.
