Macs Are Better
I have had a computer for as long as I can remember, and I have always loved to tinker around trying to learn the newest tricks and tips for getting things done quicker and better. From web browsers to spreadsheet formulas, etc., I have always tried to keep up with the latest and greatest. I’ve never been the world’s best at any computer-related techniques, but I have some friends who have worked extensively in Microsoft consulting or as Linux programmers who have shown me some really cool tricks that were not widely known at the time.
I was lucky enough to be on the ground floor of cutting-edge applications like Mozilla (8 or 10 years ago) and I was a Gmail member back when you had to be invited (2003 or so). I have been really grateful to have friends who are much more tech-savvy than I am.
I recently switched my personal computer from a Windows laptop to an Apple Macbook, and I don’t think I would ever willingly go back. No offense to my Microsoft consulting friends, but the ease of use and stability of my Macbook is far and away better than anything I experienced from a Windows-based machine.
I have heard people say (in fact I even said it) that Macs are just not as user-friendly as PCs, but I think they are far more user-friendly, it’s us users who aren’t friendly. Once we learn all the tricks and basics of Windows, we expect everything to be the same way and while Macs are not the same by any means, they are easier to learn and much more intuitive. Thatâs just the way I feel.
